Our Journey: A Chronological Success Story
2013
Dexso was founded originally under its first brand called Butanex, with the vision to revolutionize the cannabis extraction industry. Alongside his partner, Mark Bovens, the duo set out to create innovative and affordable solutions for small-scale growers and extractors.
2014
The "aha!" moment occurred when we discovered the potential of Dimethyl Ether (DME) as a game-changing extraction solvent. The team quickly realized the benefits of DME and its potential to transform the industry by providing higher yields, broader spectrums of extracts, and a safer extraction process.
2015
Finally Dexso evolved out of Butanex, as we successfully introduced, with Dexso D.M.E. the first aerosol can extraction solvent in the hydroponics industry, making the powerful and safe DME solvent accessible to small-scale cannabis extractors.
2016
After now years of hard work our commitment, Dexso's commitment, to innovation and quality was validated the first time when our solvent Dexso D.M.E. achieved over 98% extraction efficiency on cannabinoids in tests conducted with an Israeli medical cannabis producer in Israel.
2017
Two years after the launch of Dexso DME, our solvent had already begun to generate excitement in the market. As interest in our innovative solution continued to grow, we successfully entered new markets and further developed our distinctive expertise in DME extractions, solidifying our position as industry leaders.
2018
Until today, one of our proudest accomplishments was the initiation of our ongoing collaboration with the CZU University, a renowned institution with a comprehensive cannabis research program. This partnership marked the beginning of our groundbreaking research comparing various extraction technologies and their resulting extracts. Moreover, we delved into the study of the effects of these extracts on dangerous pathogens found on human skin, further expanding our knowledge and contributing to the advancement of the extraction industry.
2019
The year 2019 was a significant milestone in Dexso's journey, marked by a monumental partnership with NearDark, one of Europe's most established and influential headshop distributors, based in Germany. This strategic collaboration led to NearDark acquiring an exclusive distribution license for a five-year term.
2020
2020 presented global challenges due to the onset of the pandemic, and Dexso was no exception to the impacts. However, in the face of adversity, we saw an opportunity to focus on our roots: innovation and quality. We utilized this time to delve deeper into our research efforts, furthering our understanding of extraction technologies.
2021
The reverberations of the pandemic began to significantly shape the landscape of the cannabis industry. For Dexso, this presented an opportunity to refocus and reimagine. We embarked on a path of innovation, viewing the challenges as catalysts to inspire new ideas and solutions.
2022
The indipendent Cannabis research of the CZU University was published in the prestigious Frontiers of Microbiology, officially proving that Dexso D.M.E. is the best extraction technology, and on top of that we launched three new products - the Waterjet Vacuum Pump, Nectar Collector Vape Pen, and Electric Hot Knife.
2023
This year our focus is on expanding our product line with a highly pure extraction solvent, reflecting our relentless pursuit of quality and innovation. Alongside this, we are committed to collaborating closely with our distributors to disseminate the valuable findings from our research with the CZU University.
Future
We remain committed to pushing the boundaries of cannabis extraction and plan to expand our product range by introducing a highly pure Dexso Extraction Butane (99.9999% clean) that leaves no residues or mystery oils in the extracts. We also aim to develop new and unique extractor designs that make pressured gas extractions safer while maintaining affordability in comparison to closed loop extraction systems.
